The discussion of human nature is an endless topic, which can bring more reflection and Enlightenment to people, and is also an important embodiment of social responsibility of design, so it is very important to express the most intrinsic human values and fight against darkness on a poster.

Various terrorist organizations and gangs have carried out many terrorist attacks in our country. These attacks have not only caused a large number of casualties, but also caused enormous political influence. A series of terrorist attacks once again reminded us that counter-terrorism work has a long way to go. In particular, injuries to women and children are particularly serious and cannot be ignored.

The poster which was inspired by this year competition’s theme TURN A LIGHT ON, puts mainly focus on the trickness of first impressions and also the fact that anything shiny can have another, more deceitful side. Consequently, one should turn one’s light bulb on in order to avoid getting lost or hurt by those who desire to portrait themselves in favourable light. Staying objective may be the only way to help in understanding people’s true character, priorities and intentions.

We have to keep our values burning not because we might die out soon but in order to sustain someone else’s fire. As fast as a forest fire, one’s value can easily spread. We can only do so much to warm ourselves, but if each of us manage to light someone else, life can be a little bit more bearable.

I think that people listen to each other just a little. Everyone thinks that only they know what is rihgt and what is truth. But the truth is relative, it has its own and one must try to understand other people and find ways in which maybe not everyone has benefit, but suffer will be less. I want to shed light on everyone to see themselves in another.

This year contest theme means to me, that there is a need to “turn the light on”. Turn it on things, that we see everyday, that all of us clearly know, but do not spend a second on thinking about them. The best way to get people’s attention to these things is a poster, that everyone can meet at almost every step in their life.

This year’s theme is very important because of the rise of human rights violations, especially because of the suffering of children in wars. Yesterday Yemen, recently Syria, Palestine, in the early 1990s Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia ... Tomorrow who knows where. We designers, through our posters, have to warn and criticize politicians and show them how to simply turn on a light.

I always say that a poster can not change the world, but it can change a person’s world. A poster manages to be the voice of many causes and people that may have their voice dull, the power of the image helps them to reach further and further away. On this occasion, the poster, besides being a voice changer, is a light that guides the actions of the human collective for the better.

The poster is a prodigious window. A fist held high before the eyes. My designs usually sprout from a dark place, full of anger, need to scream and desire to transform. Because the poster is color, typography, symbols and everything we learned, but above all, the opportunity to improve something: An idea, a habit, an action, an inaction and, sometimes, ideally, a small piece of the world.

In recent times, people are forgetting their capacity to produce and consume love. It is not uncommon for individuals to be consumed by physical luxuries in search for a resolution. I think that it’s important to remind ourselves as part of humanity, of our priceless ability to love.

A poster gives testimony of place and time. It is a synthesis of concepts. With this we can explain to many people in a visual way what human values represents, it is a tool that can be used for learning, and it is also a way to shout that we can do something for humanity. It is important to reflect on this as we are becoming insensitive to the atrocities that happen around us, with our images we collaborate to turn a light in the dark.

Darkness is something which human being has fought with since the beginning of time. Little by little it has invaded our life, making us forget things as basic as respecting the existence of each of the living beings with whom we live. The poster is the weapon that we have to fight against darkness, it is art at the service of the people, we must use it whenever a voice is not heard. He is the spokesman of the people, it is a hand that gives hope and tells everyone who sees it: you are not alone, I fight with you.

“In my poster I am mocking but also drawing attention to the problem of the liers who rule us. I’m trying to challenge people to action: Do you know about any illegal action of your local politician? Find him and mark him, play ring toss with him! It’s the first step for a change.”.

This year’s theme means for me that every poster should have a light that every person who sees it must put it into practice. It helps to identify and overcome the darkest and most problematic corners on the planet (corruption, violence, conflicts, human rights violations, environmental problems ...)

Thanks to the light we can see what surrounds us, allows us to see the other and makes us visible. It is only through the light that we can know our surroundings, and, therefore, know ourselves, with our lights and shadows. Lighting / discovering the light / shade itself gives us warmth and serves as a guide. Knowing what really does us good, why not procure it?

It is important to express the most intrinsic human values and fight against darkness because in a place where freedom reigns, there must be people wandering around while dancing and singing with happiness. Therefore is important to turn darkness into light to help make people happy and ourselves too.

“Turn a light on in the heart” is an attitude that everyone should have. Being full of hope, gratitude to life and do something meaningful to the world. We can not decide the outcome of many things, but as long as we have a little love, I believe that every corner of the world will be better.
