In an unequal society like the one seen in all parts of the world, where racism, violence, prejudice, indifference are present in all social classes, art has the fundamental role of making a difference, causing reflection, change the world!

The poster is a prodigious window. A fist held high before the eyes. My designs usually sprout from a dark place, full of anger, need to scream and desire to transform. Because the poster is color, typography, symbols and everything we learned, but above all, the opportunity to improve something: An idea, a habit, an action, an inaction and, sometimes, ideally, a small piece of the world.

A poster awakens questions which generate reflections, which can change the way of seeing and acting in the world.

It is imperative to society that we understand that love and happiness cannot be bought. It is my hope that my poster will help people reflect on their values and find what truly makes them happy.

There is a lot of darkness in our world so it’s crucial to find beauty in simple things. Just try to smile and enjoy little moments.

In recent times, people are forgetting their capacity to produce and consume love. It is not uncommon for individuals to be consumed by physical luxuries in search for a resolution.  I think that it’s important to remind ourselves as part of humanity, of our priceless ability to love.

A poster gives testimony of place and time. It is a synthesis of concepts. With this we can explain to many people in a visual way what human values ​​represents, it is a tool that can be used for learning, and it is also a way to shout that we can do something for humanity. It is important to reflect on this as we are becoming insensitive to the atrocities that happen around us, with our images we collaborate to turn a light in the dark.

Theme means hope to me. It is very important to face the world full of light, to turn on a light in everyone’s heart, and to let human beings live in hope. Pursuing this light is like pursuing hope.

Darkness is something which human being has fought with since the beginning of time. Little by little it has invaded our life, making us forget things as basic as respecting the existence of each of the living beings with whom we live. The poster is the weapon that we have to fight against darkness, it is art at the service of the people, we must use it whenever a voice is not heard. He is the spokesman of the people, it is a hand that gives hope and tells everyone who sees it: you are not alone, I fight with you.

This year’s theme “turning the light on, lighting a light in the heart” means illuminating the human heart! Let humans see clearly. Everything in the world is symbiotic.

As for me, “Turn a light on” means illuminating and recognizing somethings, or transmitting power to others. I want my poster become a light, which can cast my feeling towards others, then evoke everyone’s inner power.

This year’s theme means to me, that we have to turn the lights on for people that live in darkness. We have to fight for making our planet a good place to live for every single person.

“In my poster I am mocking but also drawing attention to the problem of the liers who rule us. I’m trying to challenge people to action: Do you know about any illegal action of your local politician? Find him and mark him, play ring toss with him! It’s the first step for a change.”. 

This year’s theme means for me that every poster should have a light that every person who sees it must put it into practice.  It helps to identify and overcome the darkest and most problematic corners on the planet (corruption, violence, conflicts, human rights violations, environmental problems ...)

The light is hope for me, a symbol of light and warmth. Now the world is full of darkness and falsehood. As a designer, it should be a force for the light and reality. When the world is full of love and Peace, that is what we want, it is the real victory.

Thanks to the light we can see what surrounds us, allows us to see the other and makes us visible. It is only through the light that we can know our surroundings, and, therefore, know ourselves, with our lights and shadows. Lighting / discovering the light / shade itself gives us warmth and serves as a guide. Knowing what really does us good, why not procure it?

We live in times where human values ​​are a fundamental part for the development of more human societies and committed to the care of the other as of itself in a sense of need, generating with this empathy and a light of hope for the future of humanity.

Human values are the main component part of the life of any person. They are the basis of every correct society and the basis of the international community. We must protect, strengthen and develop human values. Only way, we can remain people.

It is important to express the most intrinsic human values and fight against darkness because in a place where freedom reigns, there must be people wandering around while dancing and singing with happiness. Therefore is important to turn darkness into light to help make people happy and ourselves too.

In the minds of people there’s necesarry to turn a light on, because they don’t understand that with the endless OVERCONSUMPTION and the boundless pollution in air and water they will destroy our PLANET.

“Turn a light on in the heart” is an attitude that everyone should have. Being full of hope, gratitude to life and do something meaningful to the world. We can not decide the outcome of many things, but as long as we have a little love, I believe that every corner of the world will be better.

I have always said: the social cartel is too powerful. It is a massive combat tool to ensure human rights. So every time I participate in the “Escucha mi Voz” contest I feel the call to defend the world from darkness. I feel like a super hero!

Finding hope in the midst of disappointments, that is what “Turn a light” means to me. A poster can be like a poke to push people and say let’s do that , trust in yourself , we can fix anything together. posters can make people with similar goals confederate together.
